Gospel industry nowadays has turned to be like some sort of business. Other gospel artists find it easy to involve themselves with secular music while most of them find themselves in terrible scandals not expected from a christian.

Back then the gospel industry was so powerful with real musicians like the ones we are yet to discuss. Nowadays the artists themselves don’t take anything related to God serious. In short the gospel music industry is nolonger what it used to be as many artists have turned it into money making industry.

1. Emachichi

Emmanuel Chibanda popularly known as Emachichi was a Congolese born but acquired Kenyan citizenship where he nurtured his singing skills. He was known for his hit songs ‘Mpokee Yesu’ and his music gained popularity all over. Emachichi was loved by many and his music is still being played in our churches today. 2. Angela Chibalonza

Angela is also one of the best musicians Kenyans lost. She was also congo born but resided in Kenya where she got married. She got involved in a terrible accident while from a performance at Egerton. Her death took the whole nation by surprise and till today she is in the hearts of many people. 3. Kaberere

Kaberere was was known by his stage name Kabz lost his life after being electrocuted in his carwash. He was one of the best gospel musicians back then. 4. Christonimph

Christonimph Wambui was known by her stage name Vivah. She was 20 years old when she got involved in an accident on her way to Nairobi. She was known for her songs ‘Umenitenda Wema’ and ‘Jipe moyo’.
